apr 21 - The Simpsons has returned to Venezuelan television after being deemed unsuitable for children and replaced by Baywatch. A spokeswoman for the station Televen said The Simpsons, left, which had been branded “inappropriate” in its original 11 a.m. slot, would be broadcast at a later hour. Venezuela’s National Telecommunications Commission had forced Televen to take it off the air under threat of a fine.

apr 14 - John Swartzwelder, the writer of 59 episodes of The Simpson, released a book earlier this month. It's called "Dead Men Scare Me Stupid."

feb 25 - What do the TV shows The Simpsons and Futurama have to do with mathematics? Surprisingly, quite a lot.

At least that’s the premise of a talk at Lenoir-Rhyne College, which will be presented by Dr. Sarah J. Greenwald on Friday, Feb. 29. The lecture will be held from 9:20 to 10:10 a.m. in the college’s P.E. Monroe Auditorium, located at 775 Sixth St. NE in Hickory.

jan 16 - The Simpsons seems to have been badly hit following writers' strike as not enough episodes have been completed to last the current season. Yeardley Smith, doubts whether any of the episodes will be ready in time to air. However, Smith is quite convinced that this has been the best season for show.

jan 13 - Springfield, Vermont has picked a spot for a museum dedicated solely to The Simpsons. The old mill town is considered the home of the cartoon family.

- Well known and respected Florida specialist Travel City Direct is giving away DVD’s of The Simpsons Movie to celebrate the opening of the new Simpsons ride at Universal Orlando Resort later this year. When customers book a 14-night Florida holiday from the tour operator plus their 2-day, 2-park Universal Orlando tickets by 28 February they will receive a free Simpsons Movie DVD.
